Buying tickets on fullhall
When you buy a ticket on a fullhall event page, you're buying from the organisation running the event. fullhall is the software they use to sell it. This page says who you paid, who can help when something goes wrong, and what to do if they don't.
Who you're buying from
The organisation named on the event page is the seller. Your payment goes straight to their own Stripe account, and the charge on your card carries that account's name. fullhall never holds the money, takes no cut of it, and never sees your card details. The organisation sets the ticket prices, the refund policy shown on the event page, and whether the event goes ahead.
The organisation's name, contact email and ABN (where one is shown) are entered by the organisation. fullhall checks that an ABN is well-formed, not who holds it; you can look any ABN up on the Australian Business Register at abr.business.gov.au.
The confirmation email you receive comes from fullhall on the organisation's behalf. Replying to it reaches the organisation, not us, and the same contact email is printed at the bottom of the email and on the event page.
Refunds, changes and cancellations
Contact the organisation first. They sold you the ticket, they hold the money, and they are the only ones who can refund it or change your booking. Their refund policy is on the event page and in your confirmation email, and it's the policy that applied when you bought.
If the organisation cancels the event, or changes it so much that it's not what you bought (a different date, a different place, a different headline act), the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to a refund whatever the policy says. Changing your mind is different: that's governed by the refund policy you saw when you bought.
A refund the organisation issues lands back on the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days. If they refund you through fullhall you'll get an email from us saying so; a refund made directly in Stripe shows on your card statement without one.
If the organisation doesn't answer
- Email the organisation at the address on your confirmation email. Give them 5 business days.
- If you hear nothing, email us at [email protected] with your order number. We'll contact the organisation, and where we believe an organisation has taken money and isn't delivering, we may unpublish its events. We can't refund you ourselves, because we never had the money.
- If that still gets nowhere, contact your bank or card issuer and ask to dispute the charge. Card disputes are decided by the bank, and the organisation's Stripe account carries them.
Reporting an event
If an event page looks like a scam, or its content shouldn't be on a public page, email [email protected] with the page's address. Every event page has a report link at the bottom that does this for you. We look at every report, we may unpublish pages that break our terms, and we refer fraud to the police and Scamwatch. If you've already lost money to a scam, contact your bank straight away.
Your details
The name and email you enter go to the organisation running the event, so they know who's coming. fullhall stores them on the organisation's behalf in Australia, and uses them only to send you the emails about your booking. Ticking "keep me updated" is separate and asks you to confirm first. The privacy policy has the full picture.
